no.
I did an 870 and it's 12" barrel. with the stock it's still longer than a basic AR configuration, let alone a pistol version. If you want a short shotgun, do a SxS and cut that puppy down to 8" barrels. No action and a PG will make it pretty handy and about the same capacity. |

Shockwave (or Rem TAC14) is the easiest, cheapest way into an SBS.

Yes, it is a great platform to SBS. I did mine earlier this year and added the Magpul stock.

I have a brace on mine. If or when the brace option goes out the door, I will SBS it. I actually bought a mag fed Remington 870 Tac14 right as Remington went bankrupt and mags dried up.
I love compact shotguns and think they are very under rated. I bought a Remington 870 Special Field to do an SBS on. It has the factory 3-round mag tube, so it is a bit shorter that the 4- mag tube. So it can be a bit smaller. I need to file a Form1 and get going. But I always find something else to splurge my $200 on. |

I did both. SBS the Shockwave was a good start, but Remington has a factory 11" shorty. Really hard to find. Wish I never got rid of mine.
