Are these subject to the 'short barreled shotgun' or 'short barreled rifle' restrictions of the NFA?

Thanks.

I thought rifles were allowed to be as short as 16" and shotguns had to be 18" to stay off the NFA items list.  A non-NFA shotgun barrel at 18" is NOT a short barreled rifle.

Now, if you are asking about them being NFA items because a fully rifled shotgun barrel is greater than 50 caliber, that would be different.

ETA - Don't forget about the minimum overall length requirement in addition to the barrel length requirement (rifle > 26" overall).

Well I noticed the NFA definition was talking about 'smooth bore' for shotguns.

Quoted:
Fully rifled shotgun barrels commonly used for shooting sabot slugs for big game hunting are not covered by NFA. MIKE.

So I can have a 10" barrelled shotgun if it has a rifled barrel with no registration/paperwork?
Don't think that would go over well -

What is the basis for your claim?
