Remington really doesn't make it difficult or discourage FFL Dealers from selling Police guns.
Write an email to Remington asking about buying a Police gun, and they will tell you to go to a factory authorized dealer and have him order one for you.

Here's why it's a little harder:
Remington only sells direct to authorized distributors, who in turn sell direct to FFL dealers.

The problem is, not all factory authorized distributors are Law Enforcement distributors.

The reason for that is because of Class Three and Restricted guns.  Some Remington Police guns have 14" barrels, and many distributors don't want the Federal headaches of the licensing problems.

So, most Remington distributors stock COMMERCIAL guns, but aren't LE distributors because of the Federal licensing requirements.

Your local FFL Dealer usually has an account with one or two big commercial distributors, and when someone wants a Police gun, he has to make a special order.
Some dealers just don't want to go to the trouble of having to call around to find a LE distributor with the gun you want in stock, have to get a money order, sign a copy of his FFL and mail it, hoping the gun is still in stock when the order gets there.

So, many dealers just don't want the extra effort, and often blow you off with some comment that Remington doesn't sell Police guns to "Civilians".

This will at least get you a ballpark price.
Be aware, that some FFL dealers try to price "scalp" on Remington Police guns, and often charge full list price, or even MORE if they can get away with it.

If a local dealer starts giving you a song and dance about how difficult it is to get a Police gun, you may want to move on to a different dealer.
