Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Remington 1100 cycling problem

My Remington 1100 has problems cycling.  I've given it a thorough cleaning, including the gas ports, so I think it's the timing.  Does anyone have a suggestion on how to adjust the timing?

I do not know what the "timing" is but I woud start by checking that the gas rings are installed correctly and replace the rubber O ring.  If that does not work it's back to Remington. MIKE.
