Hey all,

I posted a while back about getting my first shotgun.  My plans are to use it for trap shooting, thought I wouldn't put turkey or duck hunting out of the picture.  Anyhow, after taking the advice of the group here, I tried out a few guns.  I liked the Beretta 391 series the best.  I'm looking to get a 12ga w/ synthetic furniture.  My big question is, should I go for the Xtrema's 3.5" chamber or just stick with the Urika (a little cheaper).

Can the voice of experience chime in for me?

Thanks,
BoB

I was in your shoes not that long ago.  Get the AL391 Urika.  If you're REALLY into trap, get the "parallel trap" version of the 391.  Otherwise, the basic 391 with Optima bore and chokes is fantastic.  I added front and rear mercury recoil reducers and a Carey Closer.  I love it, and everyone who shoots it says the same.  But, you gotta love that Extreme, especially for ducks and geese.

Can I get a price check?  Guns America has a wide range of prices.

Urika WILL do everything you need. Xtrema is nice, but not necessary.

Good choice either way!

What about prices?  How much is too much?  I've seen some going for as little at $699, while others (same model) are $900.  I don't wanna get screwed by a "too good to be true" price.  This was for 12ga, synthetic black stock, 28" bbl.

Thanks,
BoB
