Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Ruger SR22 leaves one round in mag on LRBHO

I picked up a like new Ruger SR 22 a few weeks ago just got around to shooting it. I noticed it fires nine rounds then the last round bold hold open locks open with one round still in the mag?  What’s going on?  Any suggestions I can’t imagine this would be normal?
I do have two factory magazines and this happens on both.

I think if the thumb helper/follower whatever it is called is installed upside down this can happen.  Are the thumb stops installed on the right side of the magazine?  If it is make sure it isn't upside down.
