Anyone seen any word on when they'll be available?

There are a couple on gunbroker, in stock, right now. Would make a great pack gun and suppressor host. I just bought a threaded MkIII 22/34 but might make that a range toy and this a pack gun....awesome.

Got the email from Ruger. Was wondering the price. I doubt cheap enough to get rid of my 22/45 threaded barrel.

If these work well, I could see them putting a hurt on TacSol

Ruger has a spot on their website where you can "Tell the CEO" how you feel about their products..

I told him that I didn't care for the gold color, or that flat spot under the barrel - it looks odd. I also asked him to come out with these in different colors; like black, tan, or green.

It's not like it will make a difference, but I just had to say something..

Retails for $30 more than the regular threaded 22/45.

This is threaded?

Fuck yeah!  Ruger sends another one over the fence!

The underside of the barrel appears to have a flat section.  I know the top of it is drilled/tapped for a rail, but I wonder if the underside is drilled and tapped like the regular threaded 22/45 so a rail can be added.  A IR laser stuck on a rail underneath would be the cat's ass with a PVS-14.

The recess under the barrel is not drilled and taped. It is for weight reduction.

Yeah at that point, the standard 22/45TB with top and bottom rails wouldn't be much heavier.

Is it eventually going to be offered in a non-pimp color like basic black?

My question as well.

Zero interest in the gold-tone one at all; if it becomes available in a matte black/gray/silver I will own one ASAP.

YMMV.

I'm interested in seeing it under a different light conditions.

A lot of anodizing can shift color depending on light source.

Gold is kind of strange of a color to pick.  I'm thinking that they were probably going for the metallic pea green or whatever the Tac Sol's come in.  You know the color.  The one that looks like the family truckster in the Vacation movie.

9.2 oz difference as is.

Right now it's gold but who knows what they'll do later.

I'd like to see one with a grey or titanium finish.

I think it's like a champagne color. An OD green or FDE would of course be sexy as hell. 'Specially if combined with matching grips.
