I was toying with the idea of building up an Officer's ACP from a carbon steel Caspian frame and slide combo.

Has anyone ever tried building an OACP? Anything I should know before I drop the cash?

Thanks!

It depends on your skill level, mechanical aptitude, and knowledge of the gun.  With Caspian frame and slide combos, if you don't buy a pre-fit combo, you will have to fit the frame to the slide.  Usually they are very close, so it requires little work.  I've had to mill them before though.  Be prepared for the possibility of the frame and slide not going together if you don't buy them pre-fit.

As for the rest, again, it depends on your skill level, and also what components you buy.  Let us know how it turns out.  I would love to see it.
