Just got my Kimber Pro Carry back from 1911Builder working on it. This was pretty much a pistol in factory condition that didn't quite eat everything like a 1911 should.
Most of the usual things for a carry package. All the MIM stuff was replaced, mostly with Wilson parts. The feed ramp was cut and polished, barrel hood fitted to slide, slide to frame tightened up, breech face of slide lightly polished, and a set of Trijicon Novak sights were installed. Most of the fire control was replaced so I'll have to make do with this awesome trigger job
It had a pretty good de-burr feel in factory trim so none of that was necessary. The slide and controls were dropped in the park tank for a nice black finish. Haven't decided if the alloy frame should be re-finished. It's pretty good for now anyway.
Nice job Charles!
eta: almost forgot: lowered thumb safety from Gunsite. I'm addicted to them
