I'm slowly getting back into 1911s after a 10 year hiatus. I recently acquired a little used SA Champion  to "upgrade" the carry piece I've been using for the last few years.

This gun doesn't appear (AFAIK) in the current SA catalog on the web. I'm wondering if anybody could give me a sense of when it was made. Its serial # is 362XXX. It is stamped F1 BRAZIL on the frame. Frame is SS, slide is blued. Everything else can be seen in the pics. It came with the Hogues....I replaced them, as you can see.

At $400, this was an easy re-entry into the wonderful world of 1911s! Can anybody give me anymore info on this piece?
