I have been going through the gun safe trying to cull some firearms, and take inventory of the values of the ones I intend to keep. I inherited this Colt Gold Cup. It's in very good condition, with a few light scratches. I'm trying to place a value on it. I'd appreciate any input. Thanks.

Series 80. In good shape though. I’d vavue it around 12-1300.

I think that is a bit high. Since it is essentially the same as a current production item, look at the brand new street price for one ( which I think is roughly 1150-1250) then deduct 15 percent.

Man the bluing on those are so nice. Sweet 1911! I've always done my pricing research on gunbroker. That would be a great place to start! Oh, does it come with box and manual as well as the original Mag..? A quick search there yields a value of around 1,000 - 1,100 depending on condition.

I have been watching Colt 1911s on Gunbroker for the last few weeks.
Here's a nice Gold Cup that sold today for $699. Box and all. SOLD: COLT GOLD CUP TROPHY BLUED 1911 .45ACP So $700 TO $1000. It's a buyer market right now. Not a great time to sell used guns. |

That’s a nice 1911. But others are right you’re not going to get as much as you would like out of it.
