I am specifically looking which merchants with lowest pricing sells government model new mags for Wilson Combat, Chip McCormick or Pro Mag.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

I just buy directly from Wilson or Chip.

Why are you even considering Pro Mag? They make nothing but junk.

Copy on Pro Mags are junk.  I was also told to never buy used 1911 mags.  Why?

Springs are usually worn out.

Because it's probably out of spec and doesn't work.

IMO, buying cheap mags for a 1911 is an exercise in frustration and a huge mistake. Magazines are the heart of a semi-auto.
Cheap mags will make the most expensive 1911 run like shit and top shelf mags will make a properly built, low end 1911 run like sewing machine.

Why waste your time, money and ammo ( real money these days) trying to turn trash into gold?
It's a fools errand. I know, I learned the hard way over 23 years of owning 1911s.

These days, I use Tripp Cobra mags and Wilson, nothing else until something as good, or better comes along.

Even for Wilsons and CMC...aren't there rebuilding kits for springs?  How many rounds usually per mag before replacing the springs?  Or do you not replace the springs at all and just purchase new mags?
