Yes to both.
If you want to get into IPSC winning accuracy then no to the relability needed for selfdefense.

C&L, LOL, I figured as much from you.

Bearlaker, not thinking of IPSC type accuracy, just a good defensive level, but still be able to function reliably after being drug through the elements. In other words, will it still go bang and hit the target after being drug through the muck.

For general defensive purposes with the above mentioned thoughts, do you think that something along the lines of a Wilson CQB is in order or will say a Colt of Spingfield with a few personal mods suffice?
