I currently carry a double action only S&W Model 37 as a second gun in my right front pants pocket.
I've been considering going to the Sig P232 in blue, it is 1.8 ozs heavier than the Smith, but should be flatter and of course it's 3 more rounds with a faster reload.
Would the P232 be preferable to the #37 I'm now carrying or should I stick with what I have.  FWIW I carry Remington 158 grn LWCHP +P in the S&W which carrys more punch than the .380 would.

I have both.

For pocket carry, the Smith.

For IWB, the P232.

But .38spl>380...

I have a Glock 33 & a Clock 26 for IWB carry......so I guess I don't need the P232

Good excuse to get another gun...Thinner than a double stack and it points very well...but if you are satisfied with your current carry guns, then stick with what you have.

I would stick with the 37. I also doubt that a speedloader is slower than a heal magazine release so the quicker reload idea is out.

The SIG 232 is a very well made and highly accurate pistol, but IMHO it’s just too big for a .380.
