Anyone have a TLR-1? I have considered buying another handgun light to experiment with on a 3rd Gen GLOCK, but I have never  used the TLR-1. While I have weaponlights on all of my serious long guns, I'm not as wild about lights on a handgun.

I had a GLOCK light, but the beam was not as uniform as the Surefires. How does the TLR-1 compare considering it's only half the price of the X200?

Theres a rather large post already about the TLR1, but since I can't remember where it was...

General idea is that its a VERY good light, and damn near impossible to beat for the price.

I just bought one for a little over $100.  I'm very pelaesed with it, but I haven't put it to much serious abuse yet.

How does the beam look? Is it uniform with a strong "hot spot" like a Surefire?

I know theres one around thats actually gotten to be about 4-5 pages long- I'll try to find it for ya.

Either way, the beam is supposed to be excellent.  Nice hot spot with great flood, very very white.

With this thing around, I imagine the X200 might take a drop in sales.

Runtime also was supposedly very good, with full brightness lasting for 80+ minutes, atleast thats what I recall seeing.

In terms of standard light bulb tac lights, it appears that this may be the best, most well rounded light yet.

the tlr1, (I sell them) are bright and have a uniform light circle that is supposed to last  two and a half hours, it's supposed to be brighter than my glock light but when I shine them both on the floor and ceiling the glock light looks a tad brighter, I put new batteries in both

I'm a fan of streamlight/insight light. They are very good for what they do, and excellent price. I have never had any problem with my streamlight/insight M3, M6, and UTL.

surefire x200 is overpriced and overrated. but there's always fools willing to part with his money.

I found this on another forum.  It shows the beam in comparison to a G2 if that helps.
