We were having a discussion at work today about if you had $500.00 to spend on a firearm what would you get? This would be a want not a need type of gun, you already have edc, home defense and hunting covered.
One of the guys said ammo which is alway a right answer but not what we were looking for. Any thoughts? |

If there was a $500 firearm that I wanted, I would already have it. It isn't until about $1,500 that I wait to buy "want" firearms.

I would kinda like to have a .357 magnum single action revolver to go with my .357 lever action rifle, & PSA has the Uberti Cattleman II, 4 5/8 inch barrel for $499.95.
I would rather have the El Patron, but thats about $660. Attached File |

There aren’t many options out there for a $500 handgun right now, certainly nothing that I’d be all that interested in.
You’d probably have to double that amount before I found anything I’d be willing to throw many at. |

Are there any sub $500 guns at the moment? I can't think of any from before things went south other than SCCY and a few of the little sub compacts. I would love to try one of the new SCCY DVG1-RD's but they seem to be vaporware. I have a CPX2 that is an excellent gun for the money.
Lots of guns I want but I can't think of anything that falls under $500. I've been wanting a Beretta PX4 compact 9mm. A Sig P365. A Ruger 22/45. And several more. |

Decent, good shape Gen 3 Glock 34 w/ OD frame and honest wear.

Cimarron El Malo 2 3.5” 45 Colt or Uberti 1873 12 round 22 Lr

Reloading components. Primers, bullets, powder. I have plenty of brass.

Sig 356. I have the xl and like it so much I’m thinking of getting the small on too

I would walk the gun show and see whatever hit my fancy. If looking new, G29.

If having $500 to spend is an "IF", then you have no business spending $500. Just saying.

Find another $150, and get a Full size Walther PDP.
i want one, but dont really have a use for one. I dont like having guns that I dont have a use for. I |

Not everyone drops $500 on breakfast without thinking twice, that does not mean that they don't deserve to buy something that they might enjoy. |

Quoted: Beretta 21 Bobcat Or Beretta 9000s in .40 View Quote Have a 21A and 950BS in 25acp. Have been dubbed the "prostitute pistols". So much fun to shoot. $500 to spend on a "want", I'd probably pick up a little NAA revolver or look for a vintage Single Six to go with the Bearcat I'm picking up this weekend. |
|
I bought a Tisas 1911 list is $479.00 I paid a little more. I bought the B45R but the GI model is right at
$500.00 They have forged frames and slides. Quality is very good worth a look if you are at this price range. I have 100 rounds thru it no problems at all with the gun. |

I'm done with guns right now. Prices are too high, I have a number already, ammo to shoot through them is too expensive or too expensive to replace from existing stock, and bans on a national level are picking up speed.
I would be looking at quality optics, body armor if you don't have it, reloading equipment and components (although that's stupid high now too), maybe a basic thermal scanner like the AGM TM160 with one of @gaspain helmet mounts. If you have the basics of guns covered already, and are lacking in the areas I just described, that's where I'd go. But to keep handgun related, spend $100 with Dynamic Weapon solutions to get your Glock slide gut for an RMR and look for a deal on a used Trijicon RMR. Make your existing handgun more versatile. |

I got all the guns I NEEEEEDDD right now. But one thing I don't have that would be cool and at that price point would be a Ruger Mark IV Tactical. Or maybe a Stainless Target. With a threaded barrel of course.

|
Add a few bills for a G40MOS + RMR. Or build a PF45 to a G40 style.
|
|
Taurus TX22 for about $240, "Fuel filter/ solvent trap" for $39, Form 1 stamp for $200
