so i got this S&W 469, kinda beat up

i want to change the grips--what are some good, available grips that i can use (dont like the houge slip ons)?

anywhere i can get mags? can another, newer S&W model mag be used in the 469?

For rubber grips Pachmayr should still have the slabs for it. Any 6900 series 12rd mags and 5900 series 15rd mags will fit it. Here's a place for some mags

Congrats on your 469.

First I would check out smithandwessonforum.com to ask detailed questions on your gun. I'm a member there also.

Here is where you can get 69xx mags but are currently out of them. I have bought from here before with good sucess.

i know mec-gar mags are good, but how are pro-mag (which i know made crappy AR mags) and Eagle brand mags?

I never tried the pro-mag or the eagle mags when I had my 469 (really miss that thing) - always stuck with the S&W stock 12 rounders - but their rep is not the greatest as you know.

I had the Pachmayr grip that wrapped around the front and found the very comfortable. I'd bet a lot of the tables at most gun shows have a *69 grip or two laying around in their "junk box".
