I've got a 92fs. Fine gun. I don't like the long first trigger pull on double action and the gun is too thick for me to easily conceal, but otherwise it's a good gun. Be careful buying aftermarket mags. I made the mistake of buying cheapies and wasted money. If I were to do it over I would get used beretta hi caps and have less magazines, but ones that worked. My asian military also work well.
The 20 round USAs work pretty well for fun shooting if you get a chance to pick one up cheap. The gun is big enough that there is really no recoil. Goes through a lot of ammo very quickly, fun gun
The slide flying off thing was the result (I think based on gun rags, internet rumor and my not so hot memory) of Seals using REAL hot ammo, and I think they had silencers on the barrel, which may have contributed to the slide in the face problem. Still you'll probably end up with a FS, I think that's what most of them are.
