[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Anyone with a Ruger LCP, what ammo do you carry it with, and what does it feed best or like best ?

I asked this in a sort of different way, and I've gotten some good responses, but I needed to ask this question in a way more specific to the LCP series. What ammo does your pistol like the best, and what does it hate. I've not worried about steel cased, since it will never be run through this pistol.

I carry Doubletap Ammunition 95Gr Controlled Expansion. Feeds fine in my LCP, never a problem.

975FPS out of the LCP.

Mine likes S&B ball ammo the best.

I have some 380 Federal Hydra-Shok that i found. LCP seems to like it well enough.

The LCP, like the KT P3AT will feed and function just fine with just about anything.

I like good old Gold Dots. Lots of folks like the Rem Golden Saber as it is the heaviest available round (102 grains vs standard 90 grain)

Yes. Shop for this round...in this caliber. Performance is consistent and effective. If your not LEO or MIL and have access that caters to that crowd...pick some up online. They chrono well and have a reputation for excellent performance.

My wifes LCP feeds everything we have tried, and is in fact stoked with the Hornaday's, but I dont presume them to be magic. A .380 is a nice upgrade from a .22LR
