Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Why cant I get this gun

I want to get an XD40.  I like the full size gun in the OD color.  I also like the ported barrel on the smaller 4in gun.  I called Springfield and ask if I could get the 4in model with the ported barrel and interchage the frame with the 5in OD one.  She said it should work because they are both interchangable.  So I ask you.  Has anyone done this or am I being to picky.
