I know std .45ACP vel is already subsonic, but does anyone know if the subsonic 9mm is still a better round for a suppressor?

9mm. The .45 lets a lot of gas straight out behind the bullet. 9mm captures more in the baffles. All things being equal, the smaller the bore, the more effective a suppressor will be.
