I had a 19.  It was my 1st gun and therefore my carry gun.  Looking back I think I would have rather had the 228.  I like the idea of the single action trigger.  It also seems to fit my hand better.  Just my opinion.

I have a G19 as my carry gun with a Laser Max internal laser.  I have not fired a P228 but I would like to have a gun with another saftey other than the Glock trigger. It makes me uneasy to have a pistol next to my ass with out a external saftey  But I am used to a 1911.

I have both.

I carry the 19 because it's higher cap, in a smaller lighter package.  I'm also borderline dangerous with the DA trigger on the 228 for the first shot.  I can shoot the hell out of the next 13, but that first one is a liability.

How about... neither!

Just kidding... of course the answer is both.

G19

You were quite correct sir... I was shocked to see you say that.

Anyway... like Lumpy says, its a quality piece.  I have a G19 and i LOVE it. In fact I shot it today at a local match, and I STILL have not had a malfunction.

Also mentioned above that first trigger pull on the sig being a liability... its quite correct for a lot of people, including myself.  Thats one of the advantages to both 1911s and Glocks... first trigger pull is the same as the second, is the same as the third etc...

The G19, in my opinion, is great for ccw, as its small enuf to conceal easily and carry all day, but large enough for great accuracy and control.  Its probably one of the most reliable long lasting 9mm pistols on the market today.

Here is mine...

Both.  The Sig is a better looking gun, better made,  and feels better in my hand.  That being said, I carried a G19 for 10 years and for some reason can shoot lights out with it.  The 19 can take abuse that will cause most guns to be regated to the scrap heap.  So if I had to choose, it would be the G19.  That  being said, I carry a 1911 or a G30 now, just love the 45!

G19 all the way!!!

IMO, the G19 is the greatest CCW available. I have carried one for over 5 years and put over 22,000 rounds through it with ZERO malfunctions. It is light, compact, concealable, and carries a lot of ammo. It is the number one choice for plain clothes cops, private security, and exec protect teams all over the world.

If I could only own one firearm, the G19 would be the one.

G19, no question in my mind. I've shot M4arc's several times and it is sweet.

Still got the original factory stuf in it or have you changed anything out?

+1, although I don't currently own one.  If/when I buy a 9mm, it'll be a 19.

SIG P228 for me...I've got one & LOVE it.

The shape & the angle of the Glock's grip just doesn't quite work for me. And then, there's the trigger...

But, Hey!, if it works for you...[DrillSgtMcDuffie]Then go for whacha' know!!![/DrillSgtMcDuffie]

I put a set of Meprolight sights on it, everything else is original.

I am thinking of having it refinished, as the original black is almost entirely gone.

Sig 228  I have two 228s, one is my duty weapon.  Trust it with my life.  That being said, also have a 19 and it's also a great piece.

Consider the NP3 by Robar... I LOVE IT.

Glock 19. About as perfect as a gun can get. Add night sights and a 15 round high capacity and you have a near perfect firearm.

The Sig P228 is way better than any Glock ever created! My well worn P228 - probably got 30k rounds down the pipe of this thing.

This is a tough question to answer! Yes, I own both of these handguns. Yes, the P228 is my favorite Sig pistol but I consider the G19 to be the most size efficient service 9mm made. In the end, it pains me but I will opt for the G19 due to it's price advantage. Regards, Richard:D

I picked a P228, its my best weapon, and I shoot very well with it.  That said, I want a G19 also.  BOTH are great pistols.  I doubt you could go wrong with either.
