I tried and tried for the longest time to re-install the recoil spring on my 40SW HP. Is there an aftermarket replacement unit anyone can recommend which would solve the dreaded standard 40 recoil spring dddilllemmmaaa(jitters!)?

I have heard of some using a paperclip to keep the spring back.

Personally, I have yet to figure out why anyone would want a HP in .40 instead of 9mm like JMB intended!

The easiest way is to put a small screwdriver through the kidney shaped opening. You will get enough leverage for your purpose. Regards, Richard:D
