This is the Sig P220 with a heel type magazine catch that Browning imported under their name....what?...20 yrs. ago.
I found a NIB w/box Browning BDA .45 at the local funshow. Hard as it is to believe this thing was Brand Spanking new!! Price was $550. Sounds like a good price to me, but unfortunately I don't have a spare $500 laying around.  Good price or not?? |

I found one about five years ago and paid $500 NIB with an extra wood grip set (Hogue) it's a nice gun. If your a Browning collector then it's nice to have, other than that you can get a Sig P220. Also i'm not to fond of the bottom mag release.

For a shooter, good used Sig 220s with the American mag release , grips and dovetailed front sight are available at much lower prices, and IMO are better shooters than the BDA. If you want to sit around and look at a gun in a box that might, or might not, appreciate to any significant degree over the next decade or so, I suppose the BDA might fill the bill.
Nice guns, but I would never pay that much for one myself, even if new. |

I fired a use one years ago I loved it. And the Euro type mag catch doesn't really bother me that much.
But I rather thought this was a fairly good price see how the last time I priced new P220's they were at least $100 more. And I would definately be shooting this thing had I bought it. |
