I recently bought a used Llama 380 auto for a very nice price ($50).

It shot very, very well and was reliable. However, after a few boxes of ammo, it needs to be cleaned.

I cannot seem to break down this handgun!!!

Anyone have any tips or tricks to open this thing up?!?!

It should come apart just like a full size 1911.

Ok great thanks. I have never owned a 1991 so I was not 100% sure how to get it apart.

It shoots well and is very reliable.......plus for $50 I could not pass it up!

Well after an hour of trying, I cannot get anything to come apart.

I followed that link, and cannot get the guide rod out.

I am able to slighty push the slide back and push into the guide rod, but nothing else.

Any suggestions?

did you push in the plunger just under the barrel, then turn the bushing around the front of the barrel?

the bushing will turn to the left (if your looking down the barrel)

if that just won't work you can take it down by aligning the slide and the slide stop and push the slide stop out with out removing the spring, but watch as the recoil spring will release as the slide and frame seperate.

The guide rod doesn't come out until the slide is off the pistol.

It sounds like you already have the recoil spring and spring plug out, hopefully the barrel bushing as well.

Once you're at that point, you need to remove the slide stop from the frame by aligning the disassembly notch in the bottom of the slide with the rear end of the slide stop and push the slide stop out the left side of the frame.

After that point the slide will come straight off the front of the pistol and you can remove the guide rod and barrel from the slide.

I had one in the '80s and it was a POS, better luck with yours.

I bought mine used, and it was very dirty.

I took it to the range a put a few boxes through it, without any issues.

I am suprised it work this well because:
1) It is a Llama
2) It was very dirty
3) It was very dry, no lube anywhere
