I bought an XD new with Trijicons and then when I bought another one w/o NS, I talked with James at http://www.xd-hs2000.com/shopping.html and he told me that Ameriglos are Trijicon sites with Ameriglo housings.  Look basically the same product, but maybe a little cheaper.  Same warranty.  Just a thought, but I do like both and are both very bright.

James is a great guy to do business with, and has great prices.

I bought meprolights for my XD through James, and love 'em.

IMHO TruGlo TFO sights are way better than the Trijicons I have owned both and although there is not realy anything wrong with the Trijicons the TruGlo sights are way better during the day time due to the use of fiber optics and they come in different color options so you can have the rear sights green and the front sights orange or whatever you want. That and they cost just about the same as the Trijicons.

I got mine at a local shop for $90 bucks but I'm sure you can get them even cheaper off the internet.
