I thought I would share some pics of a couple of my Smith and Wessons.

First up is a 19-2 that I found a couple of years ago on the lower shelf of a gun store I walked into. This one was made in 1967 and looks to be unfired since it left the factory. It came with the original box, unopened cleaning kit, sight adjusting tool, warranty card etc..

Next up is a Model 66 no dash that I bought off of an acquaintance of a friend that needed money to repair his car. This one was made in 1976, near the end of the no dash M66's. Once again I was fortunate to get the box and all the stuff that came with it new.

This is a 1954 vintage K38 Combat Masterpiece. Shown with period correct non relieved target stocks. Shortly after the target stocks were released, S&W started cutting a football shaped relief area on the left grip to facilitate loading. The non relieved targets were only available for about a year or so.

Beautiful. I've owned several 19s and 66s but never a Combat Masterpiece.22 and I've always wanted one. I knew a guy back in the 60s that had one and he used to shoot dragonflys on the wing with it.

Very nice pieces there OP. The first thing I would do is replace those stocks with the smaller round butt ones. Those big grips never did much for me.
I'm jealous!

That is a beautiful 19-2. The dash-2's are my favorite of the Model 19 family. Mostly because they were made around the time I was a young tad. I have a blued 4inch as well that was manufactured within months of my birth and it is my favorite shooter. The previous owner obviously had it set up for 158gr magnum rounds because my first 6 shots with it tore up a three inch shoot n see. I have decided to try and gather a collection of dash-2's in both finishes and as many barrel lengths as I can find. Enjoy yours, and I hope you do shoot it, at least a little.

Very nice. I love the older pinned and recessed S&W's. It just shows the step beyond "good enough" that gun manufactures used to do.

I'm not going to ask what you paid because I would probably hate you then.

Okay, I won't tell you..........but hypothetically, lets just say it was under $500 for the most expensive of them, and considerably less for the others.

Those are all square butt models. He could put Magnas on them, but they won't take round butt grips.
OP- you have some real nice revolvers there. Enjoy them.

Ah, I thought the 19 was a round butt type. I guess it was made as both? I could have sworn I saw a rb version with stag stocks.

S&W made both. Most of the RB Model 19's I have seen have 2 1/2" barrels. I personally find the the square butt target stocks fit my hand perfectly. In fact, on my 629 Classic (which comes with a round but grip) I use either the factory Hogues or a set of target stocks I adapted.

I figure we had better keep this going...

The 4" Model 19 is an early 1970s P&R version that my dad gave me as a birthday gift a few years back. I doubt it had seen a box of shells through it in the last 40+ years.

The Model 15 Combat Masterpiece is one that my wife keeps around the house, but I sneak it out for range trips and to do some Jackrabbit Safaris with.

I really enjoy the balance of the Model 15:
