I know Kimber has a 12 year warranty on their sights.  However, I was thinking of installing some P.T. Sights instead (red/back & green/front).

My question is....has anyone had Kimber replace their night sights to the newer Meprolights?  Or the colored Meprolights?

If so....how long have you had them (time wise & number of rounds)?

Have you noticed the brightness deminishing?

Stay away from the PT sights...not nearly as good as the Mepros or...even better...Trijicons. I would call Kimber and see what they tell you. You only need to send the slide to them...or whoever you decide to have replace the sights... and, of course, since it's not a "firearm" they can ship directly back to you.

I second the call to Kimber. Both of my TLE's have the new mepro night sights that they are using, and I REALLY like them. I havent liked mepro's in the past, but the ones Kimber is using now are great.

Thanks for the info.  I'll call Kimber and see what they have to say.  I would prefer their red/back-green/front night sights.

For the record, I have PT colored sights on my G27 Glock.  They've been on there for about 5 or 6 years and I couldn't guess how many thousands of rounds.  They are still bright.
