Say I have a couple Safarilands with their drop leg rig. I need another holster, but don't want to pay for all new equipment, can I buy one of their holsters that just have belt loops or something and take those off and put the new holster on the drop leg equipment?

Get a safariland qls receiver and forks for each holster you want to be modular. Mount the recover to the drop plate or UBL midride and replace away

QLS is the way to go.

But you can usually transfer holsters in between mounts as long as the mount still has the same 3 screw pattern.

What is the model number on your new holster?

I *think* most of their holsters use the same hole pattern. I use the QLS system and swap several different holsters between two different belts.

From what I could find and remember talking to CS a while ago, anything in current production should bolt to any of the accessories.

I like safariland now, but I'd love them if they cared about leftys with WMLs.

is it possible to purchase a Safariland 6354DO- ALS holster without the drop leg rig? I just want the QLS clip, but the website ONLY sells it with the drop leg...

Copquest sells the 6354DO tac light version with QLS fork for Glocks. Others may carry it too. The trick is getting one in stock. If you use the drop-down menu, it shows a bunch of them as "restocking." That means they are on order from Safariland, but ETA is probably unknown. I ordered mine in November of last year, and it finally shipped in March.

Safariland 6354DO ALS Optic Tactical Holster - Tac Light w/QLS 19 Fork

If you don't mind waiting, you should be able to find a 5% off coupon for Copquest with a Google search too.

I just bought a 6304RDS with the QLS fork. COPSPLUS happened to have it in stock for a Glock 17 with the RMR and a SFx300.

Safariland sells most of their holsters with the various mounting options, its just a case of finding someone who knows the system numbering to order it correctly. Just changing one or two of the numbers changes it from a paddle, to a UBL, to a low rise UBL, to a QLS fork...

One of the new adjustable/multi fit holsters on a thigh platform.   Same screw pattern in those waist/belt holster as on the drop leg holsters.

Big fan of SL.  I QLS everything, so everything is interchangeable and it's money well spent.

The QLS does make your pistol 'stand off' some from your hip some.

Yes, they do. I've used both Trijicon and AmeriGlo suppressor height sights in mine.

Along the same vein,

Will the Safariland MLS (MOLLE Adapter forks) MLS 15/16 retrofit to a Blackhawk Serpa?

I'm going to direct mount to MOLLE with a Serpa as an interim for an M9 before we switch over to M17's and I think the Blackhawk STRIKE platform takes up to much real estate.
