A buddy of mine gave me a free Streamlight M3 tactical illuminator weapon light but it needs batteries. What type of batteries does this light use? I cannot find any information online regarding batteries for this discontinued weapon light. Any information will be appreciated.

Standard 123 lithium batteries.

Don't use the rechargeable ones without checking the voltage.
My M3 has a new LED lamp........now
