Great ammo, I carry 9mm TAP 147gr.  IMO it is one of the top 2-3 9mm loads.  Buy/use it with confidence.

on a side note,  I use TAP as my PD/HD in my G19 and my Bushy M4.  Hornady says they make all of their own brass for the TAP line.  All of my .223 TAP has Hornady brass but my (mm brass is made by Rem and another batch says Frontier.  What's the deal and who is Fronrier?

I bought the 124 stuff. It seems to be good ammo. Why do they not make it in a +P load or anything? Also does this ammo have advatages such as reduced penitration in the home or somthing? Anyone with any test results on this ammo would be appriciated.

hornandy did make all their own brass but Taps ammo is in such demand  right now they had to outsource and their still back ordered, The only problem I have with it is that it isnt sealed other than that its only second to my federal hydrashocks

I also wish they would seal the primers and the bullets but I quess they don't consider it to be a round that will be stockpiled but rather used within a short period of time.

thanks for the answer about the brass

TAP ammo is reduced velocity ammo, so there won't be any +P.

TAP is the same as the Hornady XTP line in the pistol calibers, and offers the same performance as XTP, which IS NOT as good as it should be. XTP bullets are good, accurate bullets, but they dont perform well against barriers. For a carry load there are much better choices; look here:

XTP or TAP do not offer reduced penetration in the pistol loads. I'm pretty sure they wouldnt be considered "reduced velocity" either.

"Frontier" marked brass is made by Hornady, not some other company. I highly doubt they are getting pistol brass from an outside company.
