I have a S&W 329PD light-weight 44Mag revolver (26oz unloaded) that's great with 44SPL, but a real bear with even the lightest loaded 44Mags.

Does anyone have a source for more more-powerfull/up-loaded 44SPL ammo?

Something like a 44SPL +P.

You are not thinking in reality…

If you have a 44 mag load and duplicate it in a 44 spl case the recoil will actually be slightly worse! (less case capacity = more pressure)

Likewise if you have a 44 spl load and duplicate it in a 44 mag case, it will be the same recoil.
