I'm not sure if I have the "L" model your talking about, but I do have an 8000.

I love it! really accurate, eats any ammo I give it, chrome lined bore and chamber, rotating barrel that absorbs a lot of recoil, wonderful ergonomics. It also does a fine job shooting the 15round Pro-Mag HiCap mags. They are usually only $25each. I have also fed about 1,000 rounds through it and not 1 failure of anykind.
