While I happen to think the 92 is a bit large for a 9mm, that translates into serious toughness and reliability...given good mags and ammo. I have probably...conservatively...seen nearly 1,000,000 factory new rounds fired from. literally, thousands, of Beretta 9mms, and have seen almost zero malfunctions. This includes many part-for-part copies (Z-88) made by Denel in South Africa.
There is nothing wrong with the gun. Some may not like the caliber, and others are not crazy about the trigger pulls, etc. but the basic design is both sound and proven as a combat weapon, and I know LEOs and military troops who depend on it every day for their lives, and almost to a man they like and trust it. (wishing it fired .45 caliber ammo is a different matter!)
Personally, I have come to prefer the Glock for me, but I would strap on my 92FS again in a heartbeat and never worry a second about accuracy or reliability. JMO
