I have been looking at two galco holsters for concealed carry for my G19.

1) Galco summer confort,  http://www.usgalco.com/HolsterPG3.asp?ProductID=3601&GunID=47

and

2) Galco concealment belt holster (guess it doesnt have a special name) http://www.usgalco.com/HolsterPG3.asp?ProductID=219&GunID=47

I cant make up my mind, both have their advantages and disadvantages. Has anyone had experience using any of these holsters or a similar style holster?

Andrews leather in Fla is better than anything Galco ever dreamed of.

I only have experience with #1. I found it to be surprisingly uncomfortable for a leather IWB holster. Are you stuck on Galco and/or leather?

I can't give a more glowing recommendation for the Comp-tac IWB holsters, either the MTAC or the CTAC.

I use a Galco Summer comfort and I like it.  I got it from Midway USA and I carry my G32 and G27 in it.

If you like leather you might want to consider the Milt Sparks summer special 2 available here.

I used a summer comfort with my G17, since then I moved to a G23 and am using the same holster.

The summer comfort with the compact frame is really starting to bug me because the gun sits to high, and the G23 (or G19) doesn't have enough barrel length to hold the gun in place. This could be because it's a summer comfort designed for a full size frame but who knows.......

I'm moving to a MTAC as soon as I get some more money in.

I've never tried the MTAC (or the hybrid design) but judging from the reviews and just looking at the design, it appears to be superior to anything a normal leather IWB holster can offer, mainly because of the belt clips being farther apart, making it more stable.

Thank you all for the reply's. I am not stuck on the Galcos, just heard the summer comforts were pretty alright holsters. I was looking at the MTAC's and the Crossbred Super Tuck holsters (http://www.crossbreedholsters.com) also. I know leather over time will buff the finish off the slide, does the kydex do the same?

I own a crossbreed supertuck and a comp-tac MTAC.

I wanted to try all of the favorites just for the hell of it, so last week my Milt Sparks VMII arrived.  All of these holsters are for a glock 19.

I don't like the VMII at all.  Its a very nice holster and all that.  I just don't like how high it sits.

The supertuck and the MTAC are absolute perfection for me.  I still can't decide which one I like better.  I switch them out once in a while trying to decide which one I like better, and they each have their pro's and con's, but I love them both.

Too bad about the VMII.  It's good quality.
