My G23 rides in a Galco Combatmaster. Yeah, the name's retarded,
 but it's a great holster. Secure, comfortable, concealable, just the right cant for me.I've also used a Kramer #3 for IWB. Good holster, but I like the Galco better. What're ya lookin' for? Kydex, leather, with our without thumbreak/retention device? |

as far as material/features go i have to specifics, my main concern here is good concealment also sadly price.
i would think IWB would be better for me, however the glock is a pretty dense weapon, im curious to see how it would pan out in my circumstances. as for something thats not iwb i was wondering if something like THIS HOLSTER would sit high and close enough? |

For OWB the Glock factory holster is comfortable, cheap, and conceals well.
For IWB I like Kydex and a company called JS Holsters. They work for me and they have a great mag carrier also. |

I have two Don Hume holsters and I love them. I have used them to carry my G23 for about 3 years now. One is the H721 Opet Top and the other is the IWB H715. These are very nice quality and have held up great. The H721 rides tight and high.

i just got a galco IWB holster...
i like it very much, they offer it with a retainign strap or without...great pridce too and made in the USA |

I have always preferred a Level 2 holster for every day carry. I don't like the idea of someone just running or sneaking up behind me and grabbing my gun. I use BlackHawk Level 2 Serpa because of the Level 2 security. You can get the gun out without pushing the button.
I also have a G23

I gave the kydex and kydex/leather IWB holsters a try but found them to be too unforgiving and inflexible. Even a thin leather IWB holster with the 2 belt loops in front of and behind the holster becomes rather bulky and the solid, stable positioning which sounds like a good idea inhibits it's natural 'ride' qualities.
I finely settled on the most comfortable IWB holster for my G23 for me, a MacDaniel II w/body shield from Andrews Custom Leather. It is very thin, comfortable, and rides very well on my belt. In addition, the single loop doesn't scream 'gun'. At $80, its a great deal and holds my G23 w/TruGlo TFOs like a glove.

I know what you are going through. I am 5'4" and weigh around 165 lbs. It took me a while to find the best one. IWB conceals the best for me, but I use my pancake holster alot. It is just an open top nice leather holster. I don't worry about some running up and grabbing my weapon since they can't tell that I have one. I want to be able to draw as fast as possible. |

FIST INC #1K with body protection and suede on the body side. Thinnest holster made period and a perfect holster for the Glock IMO.

The problem with the Fist is that the clip in right on the thickest part of the holster making its effective width much greater than it should be. The thinnest wearing holsters are the ones with the belt loop/clips either in front or behind the holster.

I carry my 19 OWB in an Apex from Jim Speidel aka The Beltman. www.thebeltman.net He doesn't list his holsters on the sight have to call him.

Those Blade-Techs are nice. Got one like that for a 1911.
"retention" if ya wanna call it that, is totally adjustable. Can be made tight as hell or loose as a goose. |

what about the snaps, are they made to pop off in a single direction so that drawing won't inadvertently unsnap the holster?

Exactly, they're "pull-the-dot" type snaps. They don't EVER come undone when carrying, or drawing.
Carried my 1911 for 3 years in one of those. Great holster. |
