Hey guys I need to know if $479 would be to much for a used G19(got the light rail) with heine night sights(straight 8) and two 15rd mags. Saw it at gander mountain and I don't know how much room the is to haggle so if it's not a good price I'll pass it up.

ETA: I don't know if I like the sights or not I don't like "snag proof" sights makes it a bitch if you have to work the gun one handed for whatever reason. So it's somewhat of a hang up on this particular one for me but not much.

I can get a new one for around that, minus the night sights.  I would personally pass on that one.  See if they will come down on the price some.

Thank you. I'll probably try and talk them down a bit but if i can't I'll pass on it.

I agree with Researcher. New ones go for $484-$499 around here minus NS. Considering how you don't even like the sights that are on it I would suggest you pass.

The Gander by me, (Janesville) is known for selling used hardware for nearly the price of new. I would pass on the G19.

If you want a good used one and don't mind that they don't have the light rail on it, go to KY Imports, they have used, good condition GLOCKs for $359.

Light rail is a must, thats part of the reason I'm looking at a glock, I want a dedicated "light" pistol. I love my baby eagle to death, but it has no rail and I don't feel like dicking around finding a pistol smith that would ad one to it.

I just recently paid $525 for a "used" G19 with Trijicons, four hi-caps, Fobus, and 20 rounds of 147gr Federal Hydrashock.

The pistol was purchased in May of 2005, and the sights are marked "05", I doubt the guy shot more than 300 rounds through it-- It looks brand new still.

I dont think I got a "great" deal, but I dont feel bad about the purchase at all. New Glocks with NS run close to $600 here... And I prefer the Trijicons to the factory Glock NS. With the extra mags, hoslter, and ammo, it was a fair deal.

Depending on the conditon, I'd say $479 might be a decent price, but its probably a little high if its an older pistol.

Photo, in our area, $550ish is the going new rate.  You'd get your best price buying off the EE, or like areas of sales.  Hell, LEO pricing in our area is$440.

I bought a brand new 17 with no night sights for $450. I'd suggest passing on it.

Well crap.  If those are Heine 'slant pro straight eights' that that's the exact configuration I was looking for.  But I bought new and added the sights myself (very happy, BTW).  If the G19 is in very good or better condition AND you want those particular sights anyway, I'd say that's a pretty good deal.  If you don't need those particular sights, you probably can find a better deal.

I still have 100% faith in that 226, so I would expect nothing less from the G-lok.
