I carry a G22/M6 every day for duty but im looking to get a remote switch. I have the wire type and would like to get the contour type like in the link.

All the ones I have been able to find online all state they are for the X-series. I am wondering if they will work on the regular series. I know there is a slight size difference between the older M series and the newer X series but I cant imagine its that much.

Does anyone have any ideas whether or not it will work?

EDIT: Insight emailed me back saying no it wont fit (as you already stated) and they had no intention of ever making one for the older model M series light.
