That seems about right. There's a few G29s on the forum for sale. Unless your'e set on a Gen 4. Gen 3 had the dual recoil springs I believe.

I paid $525 plus tax for my Gen 4 at a local gunshow. Of course that wasn't the asking price but I asked what the lowest they would go was.
I was originally trying to get one for the LEO price but was told the wait could be months (GT Dist has the contract for my area) and I didn't want to wait... |

Don't remember what I paid for my gen4, but will be parting with my G29sf shortly as I have no need for it.
$599 seems like a fair price, unless you believe gun dealers should give stuff away

G29s are arguably the most common to be found for sale secondhand. Lots of buyer's remorse on a compact 10mm - folks put one mag of hot loads through it and don't want to shoot it again. If you're willing to buy used, there are certainly deals to be found. I got my G29 with 200 rounds of Buffalo Bore and Doubletap for $475.
I've bought all but one of my Glocks used (I have, shall we say, a statistically significant number of them), and have never had a problem with any of them.

Just got a Gen 3 29SF w/ 2 mags and pinky extension, Ameriglo Night Sights and a pearce extension for $518 OTD

I paid out the nose for my 29SF, but it was worth it to me at the time. I think the price you mentioned for a gen 4 is alright, you can usually save a few pennies by shoppig around. I would reccomend buying a used one as stated earlier. Used pistols most often come with some goodies at a reduced price. It is not uncommon to see glock 29 for sale adds with "like new", "one mag fired" and "mint condition" attached to them. The 29 is a cannon with hot loads, and not for everyone. Here in MI average used 29 package is between $400-$550 depending on gen and extras. Best of luck to you in your search.

^^this. That price isn't bad for a nib gen4. Just depends how bad you want a brand new gen 4. I picked up a used gen3 29 last month off a local fb group for $425. Not a great price until you take into consideration the crimson trace lasergrips, 150 rounds of hollow points and extra 15 round g20 mag with grip extender. I'm not sold on the gen4 so it was an easy decision for me. If your not either I would look around for people trying to get rid of a low mileage gen3. 10mm is def not for everyone. Some people don't find out until after they buy it.

Lg629. I'm not positive but I don't think its compatible with 4th gen or sf 30/29 models. I really like the laser but am considering ditching it. With the warm weather here I've been giving the 29 a shot at my edc. I love it! Only complaint in my opinion is it makes an already wide pistol too wide for my purpose. I swear the laser is the only thing that prints.
