Just like it says, I know there are supposedly issues with a light on the 3rd gen g22 just wondering how many of you have experienced a problem or not ?  Considering a police trade in for home defense, and curious what the odds are of it not functioning with a light. Thank's

Only a very small amount of Glock's experience this issue. Updated
magazines will fix it if it does occur. Don't buy into the internet bullshit parroting.

Make sure you get the ninth generation magazine.

I own a gen 4. But I have 2 friends that have gen 3's & both are running the correct updated mags & springs. Bought new guns last December.(June 09 manf date) Both can't get through 2 mags without a stoppage with a X300 attached.  With no light they are perfect.
Main reason I waited & bought a gen 4.
Now I will also throw out there I know others with gen 3's & lights & they never have a problem. So IDK WTF to say about that.

I bought a RTF2 Model 22 a few months ago. So far, its been flawless. 200 rounds with and 200 rounds without a TLR1.

If you're willing to take the risk, go for it. Some would have you believe it's a small risk, but they aren't the ones spending your hard earned $500, are they? For those with problematic pistols, I have yet to hear of Glock actually replacing them. If you can't get it to work with updated mags and followers, I'm not sure what they'll do about it.

One solution would be to get a Gen 4, or put an aftermarket, heavier captured recoil spring into the Gen 3.
