I doubt it's built from Yugoslav parts, since they take different stocks and all the black synthetic stocks out there are for more traditional AK's.
It might be built from Hungarian parts, the AMD-65 was a popular kit to build into a pistol. As far as this your first AK, I'd say get a rifle, not a pistol. I'd take some time to read through the posts in the general AK discussion, lots, and I mean lots, of "Guys I want an AK and I'm a total newbie" posts. Welcome to the Darkside!

Thanks for the advice and good looking out, though I'm not a total newbie, Ak's are new to me, but at any rate I'll definately go do some more reading up on things. Thanks again.
