I’m not very familiar with the SKS platform even though I’ve owned one for years.

A guy at work has a new unfired Chinese Norinco at his house that he’s trying to sell for $400. Does this sound like a good deal?

If it takes standard ak mags, yep. Norinco M IIRC. Was looking at them a while back in the 450-500 range. I just have no use for an sks. See if it's got a bayonet

He said it has a chrome lined barrel, forged receiver and a bayonet.

IMO, $400 for an unfired Norinco is not a bad price.  Not a smoking deal but not bad either.

If it would happen to be the “M” that takes ak mags then it would be a very good deal.
