Why is the muzzel device on a Krink called a booster?
Does it boost anything?

Because the gas port in the barrel is so close to the end of the barrel it "boosts" the amount of gas that moves the bolt carrier compared to other muzzle devices.

The brake is supposed to increase the backpressure and help the weapon cycle, but it works fine without it.
(the muzzle flash is also much bigger without it )
