The old SAR series of rifles often came with mismatched stocks from 2 different types of wood...

1 was a brown wood or stain and the other was more red.


Anybody here know what the different types of wood were that were used?

I think they were birch or beech. I replaced the furniture on my SAR’s with Polish laminate.
Back in the land of Waffle House and sweet tea!!!
