I happend upon a Norinco today.
The muzzle is not threaded, it is not stamped AKS, AKM, or MAK.
And the rear of the rec, is slanted like a Saiga.
It says made in China by Norinco on the bottom of the rec. in front of the magazine.
B WEST Tuscon AZ. above the grip.
And Cal. 7.62x39MM semi-auto on the left side just before the lower handguard.

Is it some sort of transition model or, were some not threaded at the muzzle?

I thought all of the China guns were cut at a 90 degree angle at the buttstock.

And I thought all were marked AKS/AKM or MAK.

What's up?

Thanks in advance, Craig

Does the receiver have inserts for an underfolding bayonet? Is the rear of the receiver slant cut with no hole for a stock to insert? Ive never heard of a bwest import that didnt have preban features, the company made and imported until 1988 i believe, before the 89 ban.

It's stamped. No provisions for an underfolding bayo.

I've read that the B-West guns were not properly heat treated.
However, this one say's made in China so I'm kinda hoping it's a good one.

bwest made receivers are not properly heat treated, but the ones that are marked china are fine. if its a bwest build, it should be marked bwa on the trunion and should say made in usa on the receiver, i once had one.
