I have two questions
what is the thread pitch on the gas block ?
and does anyone make a rubber pad for the folding stock??
whats the best wat for  lefty to add a competent safety
im having a smith modify my rifle to have a galil safety a la krebs

The threads are 24mm

This will fit on the stock but it is not soft rubber.  More of a harder plastic....

To be more specific.....24x1.5 RH.  
The other common AK thread is a 14x1 LH.

The mentioned pads work great, as they give you an extra inch of stock length, as well as a larger surface area for your shoulder. I think they were originally designed for AK's with grenade lauchers attached.
