I just picked up one of these at the gunshow this past weekend (i went looking for a Winny '94 but couldn't find one).  Now i'm trying to field strip it and i can't seem to get the cover off.  According to the instructions i should press in on the "bolt guide" or something like that while pulling up.  I can't get the cover to budge using that method or the traditional AK method.  Can someone help me?  Also anyone have any idea where i can pick up spare mags?

I have an AKT-98, which should be similar to what you have.  Mine field strips exactly like a regular AK.  Just push on on the "recoil spring guide button" (for lack of a better term) and the cover should come off.

Regarding extra mags, you might try SOG (http://www.southernohiogun.com/)  I picked up several of them about 10 months ago.
