No problem with shortening the barrel but a Ak 74 is in 5.45. No big deal, conversions on both are time tested and work well. Mario www.pieceofhistoryfirearms.com

Do you want to change caliber?
Because you could make your AK-74 a AK-105.... same rifle..only shorter |

I wasn't sure if the 5.45 would function properly with the barrel shortening.
