Quoted: Hey Duke- 2 questions for you
Do you guys have any experience in building 100 series rifles from say a romanian AKM Kit. Specifically an AK103K? And also I have an SA-85 kit and a Bulgarian AK74 kit im looking to have built into complete rifles. IM in NY so i have to have the bayo lug rails sheered off and muzzle brakes permanently attached tothe barrel. Would all that stuff be included in the $200 build price?

We haven't branched out that far yet. We are still just trying to build relatively standard variants fast enough to keep our customers happy. Later on we are planning on doing some wilder things but a 103K requires you to cut and recrown the barrel, rethread the barrel where you cut it, redrill the gas port in a different place without hurting the barrel, and change the location of the front sight block by first pulling it off of the old barrel setup and then pressing it onto the new barrel setup after turning the barrel assembly in a lathe to make it the right diameter at the right spot. Thats true custom work, and costs extra-- this would probably take around ten hours of labor at an estimated $30 an hour, on top of the base cost, and you would still only really have a cut-down Romanian at the end of the day.
EDIT: I guess you could do it without moving the gas system, a la Krebs, and it would simplify things greatly. We could probably take on that project if we did it that way without too much trouble. We need to get caught up on the builds we have lined up right now first though.
So, we aren't doing that level of custom work just yet, and it would cost alot more than the standard price. As far as bayo lugs and perm attached brakes, we can do all that routinely to keep the NY evil-feature nazis happy.
