So, whats a "pre ban" B West Ak worth unfired? I heard that the receivers need to be heat treated or something? Gun is still in the box with all accessories and in new condition but the box is falling apart. Thanks.

How can I tell the difference?
OK looked at the box and it said Made in the USA
56S Semi Automatic rifle
SN#006xx.
Actually pretty nice LOOKING, has the removable slant break, and lug. Chromed bore and chamber. No made in China anywhere. Has a fixed stock. [not the thumbhole dealie]

One should say made in china, the other will just have bwest tucson AZ.

The US made receivers were the ones that need to be heat treated. Other than that, is it fixed stock? Threaded barrel and all that?
